Crawdad! Love this Halloween piece, man! That's an original & fun idea to have the other monsters carving up the headless horseman's pumpkin head to make a jackolantern! :) Fun stuff!

We need a Christmas piece now!

Hope you're doing well, my friend! I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I like the new E page up at your amalgamated artist page, BTW! Seems like we're almost full circle back to the begining now with the backstory? Very interested in what's going to transpire next when he gets back to the present tense and they continue along, plus I can't get enough of those co-star/sidekick guys!

If you're interested, I had a question about something in the story a few pages back that I meant to ask a while back, but I wasn't sure if I should and never got around to it... I can email you it if you want.

Clay-dude! Good to hear from you! Thanks for all the nice comments--I appreciate it greatly!

You can ask the E question here if you want. I'm sure the world's DYING to hear anything about E that they can!

They should be! I really think your comic is one of the funnest reads I've had in a long time. Love the concept, artwork and characters. Really hope it gets published!

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, BTW! I been pretty busy getting ready for Christmas and stuff the last few days (cleaning, shopping for Christmas dinner, a bunch of family's coming over, etc.), haven't had a good chance to get back, I really hate to rush a response in general--why it takes me so long to get cak with emails and stuff, unless they're padding level type stuff.

No, but the question and comment I had, and it's just one little thing, and may just be me... but I thought if I did have a confusing spot in reading you might be curious about it. It was on the last panel on this page: http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p125/kptalbott/Ep4_7.jpg

I love the page, but I was just a little caught off guard by the "kid from elementary school, girl I hadn't thought of in years" comment. I knew some memories were probably going to resurge as the story went along, but I thought from the rest that he was pretty completely in the dark about everything, who and and what he is, where he is, what he's doing, etc. A complete amniesic at this point? When he said that, it seemed to me that it just came all the sudden without much lead up or confusion from him, and caught me off guard because he seems very aware of a past and that there's an illusion or something going on. Right? But doesn't seem all that surprised by it. He's been really upset about having no memory, and then he remembers that and kinda knows what's going on and that he's in the middle of a distorted reality.

He has angst from the get go of the story and knows he doesn't remember, and then at that point he has this very specific memory and is kind of matter of fact about it, you know?

Like if he'd asked himself after thinking it: whoa, where did that come from! What's a school? With something of a tie or stque like that it might have changed it to seem more natural to me with his amnesiac state.

You know I dig this story, and it could very well just be me, I could be wrong, readers can digest a thing wrongly, but that's how that part story pacing wise hit me while reading, right. For your consideration. I was kinda confused and wanting him to react to the memory more?

I think E is very good, have loved following it, and I just thought thought you might want to know I felt stumped a little there at that one point.

Anyways, that was it. Just that one comment/question in regard to the context and setup. I always gotta blabber on because I'm just like that and am uncomfortable and don't wanna come across like a joik.

Hope you have a good Christmas! Take it easy, Kerry! Don't know if I'll be able to post again until after a few days. Still got lots to do, then Christmas, have guests staying here and all that.

best,
-Clayton

Hey, Clayton--man, you write a blue streak! Thanks for taking the time to do that!

That part you're talking about is setting up other stuff to come (it kinda goes along with him getting all goofy about seeing the mascot for a family restaurant). I won't say I did it the best way possible, but it's a string of an idea I want to drop here and there. There's more of that to come, so it's not as out of left field as it might seem. If I could do more than a page a year, it would come together quicker! I plan to move the story ahead in the coming year, but that all depends on getting all the other stuff I have to do out of the way first. Anyway--as some guy said "It's all part of the plan"...

More soon!

Sounds good! Looking forward to what's coming up! So, you started this like over 20 years ago? ;)

Eh, I don't find the time to post as often as I'd like, so I guess writing some longer posts when I do find the time are okay every now and then, right? Told you I was gonna be busy for the Holidays... and I just got back from a week in Cali, too.
